Hello to everyone and anyone who may be reading this. Know that you will all be in our prayers. If you’re a more consistent follower of this blog, you may have seen our recent post on our mission. If not, you should consider checking it out before reading on. This post largely serves to supplement that post.
Catholic Evangelization Online
Pope Leo recently gave an address in front of an audience at St. Peter’s Basilica on July 29th, 2025. During this talk, he spoke about the relationship between our generation and the online sphere as a tool of evangelization. Unfortunately, for most people, the internet and social media is often a stumbling block for people’s faith. It’s a place where it is all too easy to fall into some of the worst vices, and, more importantly, a place where we often lose sight of the fact that other people are behind the various accounts that we interact with. It is a trap that is all too easy to fall into and one that is hard to fight against.

For many people, and specifically, for many Catholics and devout Christians, the solution is to completely shy away from all things online. Admittedly, this reaction is completely understandable. If you spend any amount of time online, it is almost a certainty that you will be tempted towards anger, pride, and uncharity towards others. It seems like a great option to forego all online activity. But, this idea, although understandable, is misguided.
Christ and His church have never shied away from evangelization, regardless of the place or medium. In Pope Leo’s address, he wisely says that the online sphere is “a challenge that we must face: reflecting on the authenticity of our witness, on our ability to listen and speak, and on our capacity to understand and to be understood.” In other words, its yet another medium by which we should seek to spread Christ’s message to others, while also being immensely understanding of our own abilities and understanding.
Online Content and Evangelization

The Holy Father also remarked that evangelization online is “not simply a matter of generating content, but of creating an encounter of hearts.” This is exactly what this blog hopes to accomplish in its mission. Obviously, every recipe and post that we create is a piece of content. But, it is our sincerest hope that none of our posts are merely content.
The Lord has given Emilie and I many more graces than we deserve. And yet, one of the gifts that we cherish the most is our ability to bring people around a table with a good meal. We have found that so many of our best conversations and moments to help share the love of Christ have occurred when we have gathered around one table, and we hope that, with our help, you can experience the same.
